Govt. Industrial Training Institute Padhar Distt. Mandi was notified vide Govt. Notification No. EDN (TE) A (1) 10/2015 dated 18-08-2015 and five trades, namely Electrician (2 Units), Painter General (2 Units), Draughtsman (Mechanical) (2 Units), Fitter (2 Units), and Sewing Technology (2 Units), were notified vide Govt. Notification No. EDN (TE) A(1) 10/2015 dated 28-08-2015 and made functional in the year of 2015.

Presently 117 trainees are pursuing training in four trades viz. Sewing Technology, Electrician, Draughtsman (Mechanical), and Fitter (02 units each) in a rented building on NH 154 near Gawali, Padhar.  All tades are running under NCVT. New campus of the ITI is coming up at Bari near Padhar and soon ITI will be shifted to its own building.
